Verify that your development environment is ready for OpenClaw installation.

Prerequisites

  • **Node.js 22+**: OpenClaw requires Node.js version 22 or higher
  • **Package Manager**: npm (comes with Node.js) or pnpm
  • **Terminal Access**: Command line access to your machine

    • Verification Steps

    1. Check Node.js Version

    node -v

    Expected output: `v22.x.x` or higher

    2. Check npm Version

    npm -v

    Expected output: `10.x.x` or higher

    3. (Optional) Install pnpm

    npm install -g pnpm

    Pass Criteria

    ✅ Both `node -v` and `npm -v` return version numbers

    ✅ Node.js version is 22 or higher
